MASTER-PATH PROGRAM

The Master-Path program is designed for students whose degree of enthusiasm is such that they are ready to commit to a comprehensive approach to the mastery of the game. Students entering the program must possess at least a Provincial Team level of skills and play, and must meet minimum physical aptitude and fitness requirements, as measured by Tennis Canada testing protocols. Players will be divided according to age (U18 & U14), Level (Provincial/National) and Player Development Needs. Entrance to the program is determined solely by the ability of students to undertake the entire regimen and by the decision of the Tennis Director, in consultation with staff.

Training in this program is divided into phases according to High Performance Annual Planning procedures, and includes intensive phases emphasizing volume of training, technical phases including duo lessons, and matchplay phases in which full matches are played during weekday group sessions. The program includes ongoing and intensive fitness and ‘classroom’ programs, lead coach for all players, coach-led tournaments, and weekly matchplay program.
